The UNLEARN podcast has four episodes out and is available now also on Apple Podcasts

I am thrilled to share that the UNLEARN podcast now has four episodes available, and you can listen to them on Apple Podcasts too! Reaching this milestone has been a journey of passion and learning—and yes, jumping through a few hoops to get the podcast onto Apple Podcasts, but it’s worth it to make it easier for educators like you to tune in.

A quick recap of the episodes so far:

Episode 1: Who am I, and why do I want to support teachers in gender inclusion?
This episode introduces the UNLEARN podcast and my personal journey—why I am passionate about gender inclusion in education and how I hope to inspire teachers to create inclusive classrooms.

Episode 2: How Can Our Common Values Help Us Unlearn and Embrace Gender Diversity?
In this episode, I explore how shared values and mental models can guide us in challenging biases and fostering a more inclusive mindset, offering practical examples for educators.

Episode 3: How Can Gender Statistics Challenge and Inspire Teachers? with Sylvia Hach and Tara Pond
This episode focuses on using statistics to rethink gender inclusion, including how data can challenge preconceived notions and inspire actionable changes in education. I had the privilege of collaborating with two of my supervisors for this discussion, whose insights added depth to the conversation.

Episode 4: Who Are Cis, and How Can Educators Break Cisnormativity? with Rachel Kuysten
Here, we discuss what it means to be cisgender and unpack the concept of cisnormativity. We also share strategies for educators to create more inclusive environments by breaking down these norms.

What’s coming next?

The next three episodes are already lined up and in development. They’ll feature exciting conversations on topics like reflecting on lived experiences, creating safer spaces, and understanding the intersectionality of discrimination—all designed to help educators grow and unlearn entrenched biases.

Research report in progress:

In addition to the podcast, I am working on a detailed report analysing the survey results from educators. This report will provide further insights into how we can better support teachers in fostering gender-inclusive classrooms. I look forward to sharing updates as the work progresses.

Listen and stay connected:

The UNLEARN podcast is now available on both Spotify and Apple Podcasts. I hope these episodes inspire you to reflect, challenge your own mental models, and take actionable steps toward greater inclusion in your teaching practice.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the episodes! Feel free to share your reflections with me on the @unlearnpod Instagram account as comments or private messages.
